Michael Knight

Jean Brown and Carl Smith ran a multi million
dollar marijuana business using a trucking company for cover. She is serving time in a federal prison. Together, they murdered Michael Knight for stealing from them. They were vicious drug king pins together and aimed to make people fear them. Her crime was featured on season one of For My Man. She is serving a life sentence.

One of her associates, Hubert Downer, a/k/a “Doc, age 52, of Jamaica, was sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for murder in aid of racketeering. On December 16, 2009, Jean Brown and Carl Smith met with Michael Knight, another member of the organization, in Maryland. Knight was holding approximately $1,000,000 in drug proceeds for Brown, but when they came to collect the money, approximately $250,000 was missing.

According to the state, Brown, Smith and Dean Myrie took Knight, bound with a telephone cable, to an apartment in White Marsh, Maryland. Brown assaulted and interrogated Knight. Subsequently, Brown and Smith got Downer and Peter Blake, another member of the drug organization, to help torture Knight to reveal the location of the money. When Knight did not provide the location of the money, Brown ordered Downer and Blake to kill Knight. Downer and Blake took a large knife into the bathroom where Knight was being held and Blake stabbed him to death in the bathtub with Downer’s help.

Over the next several days, Downer, Brown and Blake cut off Knight’s legs with a power saw and disposed of them in a dumpster. Downer, Blake and Myrie put the remainder of Knight’s body in a large cardboard box and disposed of it in another dumpster.

Erica Stokes and Deigo Bailey

Erica Stokes's story was featured on “For My Man” on a show titled, Dangerously Desperate. The show's description states: Police are stunned when two young men are gunned down in their backyard; investigators find a heartbroken lover and a web of lies concealing the truth. Erica pleaded guilty to one count of felony murder and one count of robbery, as a lesser included offense of the charged armed robbery; an order of nolle prosequi was entered in regard to the remaining thirteen counts of the indictment. According to the state, " Neighbors heard the gunfire and called the police. Bailey and Ford fled the scene in the Honda. Neighbors saw a dark-colored vehicle leave the scene and noted its distinct muffler sound. Felicia Scott was insecure with her relationship with Frederic Polion. She believed the only way to insure the relationship would last would be to have a baby together. The problem with this plan was that Felicia knew she had had a hysterectomy in 1994. She befriended seventeen year old Carethia Curry who was also pregnant about the time she announced her pregnancy.
